Based in Los Angeles, Kevin Alcántar (he/they) is a Mexican-American writer, director, producer, and multidisciplinary artist.

While his creative endeavors span various mediums, his work explores the interplay between dream and memory, the mundane and the absurd, and the drastic lengths people will go to for human connection. Kevin’s work is also profoundly shaped by his South Central LA roots and aims to highlight overlooked places and the rich inner lives of the diverse people who live there.

Recently, Kevin co-wrote and co-directed ALL MEAT DIET, which was the recipient of the Voices With Impact Film Production Grant and earned recognition by the Micheaux Film Festival, NVISION Latino Film and Music Festival, and the Seattle Latino Film Festival.

Aside from his career in entertainment, Kevin's work in the non-profit and fine arts sectors fostered his commitment to community support and creative expression. He remains dedicated to supporting and producing personal, art-driven projects.

You made it this far: you clearly want to know what he does for fun, right? Kevin is a design and architecture nerd, music addict, and amateur birdwatcher.

He particularly enjoys saying, “There they go,” while pointing at—you guessed it—some birds.
